Donate
Please donate to help feed the hounds! The kennel is full and we need the donations! Click the donate button below, mail in your donation or drop something off at the farm. Please consider a donation. Thanks!

Donations can come in many forms. You can mail a check, buy some dog treats or food, drop off a gift or even just shop on the internet. That's right, just do your normal shopping on the Internet and give money back to the Hounds of Cool Springs! By using the Amazon.com search box located below and making a purchase, by joining iGive.com and listing Circle of Friends as your donation group, using iGive to do your internet searches, or signing your Food Lion card up to benefit Circle of Friends. These are such easy ways to help out without even really having to do anything other than what you would normally do!

And if you can think of ANY other ways to help the group raise money, please let us know!
A Letter from Julie:

To everyone that has ever met me or been here to the kennel , they know "Mama Bear" the sweetest grey in the world, the one that mothers all and takes care of all the new hounds that come here and makes them feel at home.

We helped her pass to the bridge last Friday. February 23, 2007. She had a stroke in the night and was unable to walk. I thought as many times as I had done this I would be okay but, as we all know, you fall to pieces. She got a second chance at life as she was taken from a vet due to be put down after she was too old to breed any more. I got a call from states away saying, "Can you come get her?" and of course off I went. She was truly a dear soul.

I want to start a fund for the senior greys here, like Chris and all the other seniors who are here and those who are yet to come. We take so many seniors and a lot of groups will not take them as they are expensive to care for. A lot of people will not adopt them due to their age.

Please help us take care of senior greys and make a donation to the Mama Bear Senior fund. Thank you.

Julie lost her other greyhound ..Everyone remembers Craigie. The white with some tan ..He crossed the bridge on the July 16, 2008. He was a senior 13 years old. He will be missed by all that knew him. Be free now and run without harm.

Also, the farm currently has 9 senior residents. Please give a donation and help with their care.

Thank you.

Julie Dearmin
